Miche Bag Provides An Animal Friendly Product

SALT LAKE CITY, UT. September 2009 - Miche Bag, the brand that created the wildly popular handbag with the changeable outside covers, is making its mark in the world of ethical fashion.

The founders of Miche Bag have announced that the bag is made from 100% animal friendly material and will continue to be made according to this standard. Miche Bag founder, Michelle Romero, says she is dedicated to providing customers with a highly-fashionable product that everyone can feel good about.

"We have not released a leather option in the past and have no intention of doing so in the future. Instead we have designed a few looks using other materials that give the bag the same look and feel as leather, but without actually using animal product," says Michelle Romero. "This way we can give our customers the distinguished style they are looking for without harming a single animal."

According to PETA, about 40 million animals are killed for fur each year. 37 million cattle and 100 million pigs are also killed every year and used for leather. Worldwide, over a billion animals are slaughtered over the course of one year to meet the demands of the global leather industry.

Miche Bag CEO, Corbin Church says making the decision to provide an animal friendly product to consumers was the right thing to do. "We feel that our customers deserve a high quality, animal friendly product and that is exactly what we are giving them," Church also said.

The Miche Bag gained its popularity by the unique way the handbag is designed. The outside cover or shell of the bag is removable, allowing it to be easily replaced with a different shell. In a matter of seconds you can change the entire look and feel of your bag to match any outfit without ever moving the inside contents.
