How Miche Came to Be...
On the way home from work in the fall of 2004, a young homemaker did something most women have done—she spilled on her favorite handbag. Frustrated by the thought of hunting for a replacement then transferring all the contents, she wished there was a way to just change the outside of the bag. The idea immediately popped into her mind to create a bag with changeable covers. Not to be deterred by her lack of sewing skills, she grabbed her super glue and some scrap fabric, took apart the stained bag, and made the very first prototype. With her rough creation in hand, she set out on a mission to bring the Miche Bag to life.

Corbin Church // Miche Bag CEO
Corbin Church has been successfully starting and building business ventures since he became a lawn mowing entrepreneur at the tender age of 8! A Salt Lake City native, Church studied business management at Brigham Young University and has used that knowledge, along with his innate sales acumen and sound work ethic, to develop an impressive string of highly-successful businesses.
When a long-time friend invited Church to look into a brand new fledging company called Miche Bag in 2007, Church instantly loved the uniqueness and marketability of this unique handbag. He not only invested in the company, but became its CEO and driving force.
Jayma Woods // EVP Domestic Distribution
Jayma Woods, Executive Vice President of Domestic Distribution, honed her considerable sales and merchandising skills for 8 years at Gap Inc. before bringing her expertise to Miche. She has held several key roles at the company and is now responsible for managing its team of Account Representatives and Regional Managers. Miche Bag Distributors thrive under Woods' guidance, and her commitment to and passion for the company and its products are truly contagious. She proudly holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Utah and graduated with Dean's List honors.
Jennie Platt // Chief Production and Design Officer
Jennie Platt's love for fashion developed at the age of three when her grandmother introduced her to a magical place—her closet! It was full of old dresses, costume jewelry, fancy hats and scarves, and, most importantly, a bevy of beautiful bags. As a child, Jennie spent countless hours in her grandmother's closet trying on garment after garment, always trying to pick out the perfect bag for her carefully-selected outfit.
Today as Chief Production and Design Officer for Miche Bag, Platt shares her love for fashion with women around the world through her beautifully-designed handbags and accessories. She draws inspiration for her designs from a variety of places and sources, including runway shows and fashion magazines, but feels her main source of creativity comes from nature itself. The self-taught designer joined Miche Bag as its lead designer in 2008 to help take the one-year-old company to new fashion heights. Since then, the selection of Shells has grown from just 30 to over 200, with new designs coming out every month! Says Platt about her designs: "It's about combining that high fashion element with a style that is functional, appealing, affordable, and comfortable for the everyday woman."
Jim Brady // Chief Operations Officer
Jim Brady is a direct-selling veteran who is thankful for the opportunity he’s had to work for some of the industry’s top companies such as PartyLite and Avon. His career has spanned both large and small organizations, and he has enjoyed living and working in many locations throughout the United States and Europe.
The common thread in Jim’s career is his interest in organizations that are going through change–fast growth companies, start-ups or enterprises needing to re-structure in order to grow. Known for bringing calm and process, Jim’s biggest satisfaction comes when people come together as a team to create something different and better than before—doing new things and having lots of fun along the way!
At Miche, Jim is responsible for managing our global supply chain as well as inventory management and fulfillment. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Marist College in New York.
His passion for this industry continues to be fueled by the energy of the sales people around the world who continue to inspire others with their drive, success and ability to reach beyond even their wildest dreams. He and his wife Kathleen have three wonderful, exciting children: Louisa, Simon and William. Jim is excited to be at Miche and envisions great things for the future.
